Empowering your Healing Gifts: by Nourishing your Temple

Author: Tiffany Barrett

How is everyone doing with their New Year’s Resolutions?

As you created your lists of goals to accomplish for this year, did you also include a plan to support your health and well-being? In Episode 61 of the Divine Feminine podcast, we started the episode off by discussing how maintaining good "health is wealth"
As we focus on what we want to manifest or accomplish this year, a lot of people are focusing on their material goals but missing the importance of holistic health. If you listen to the podcast or attend our workshops, you’ll know that we speak about the importance of spiritual, mental and physical health. But to be in alignment with your “New Year, New You ”, achieving your goals requires discipline to support all aspects of your health.
Your overall well-being impacts your ability to thrive spiritually, mentally and physically. Taking care of your body through nutrition, exercise and avoiding harm also provides the foundation for your spiritual health.

Your body is your first temple.

When caring for sacred spaces, the expectation is to do so with care, respect and reverence. In the same way, you should treat your body - your temple - with care, respect and reverence. “You are as you eat”. The foods you consume can either empower or hinder your spiritual connection.
When you align your plate with foods in nature, you also align yourself more closely with the divine essence of that food. Plant-based foods tend to give more energy, clearer thoughts and a deeper spiritual connection. You can learn more about maximizing your spiritual wellness in our "Heal the Healer" workshop.

As we enter this new year with goals and plans, connecting deeply to spirit will be essential for success. This year is about developing our gifts and powers as healers. As the healers in our families and communities, we are often leading change, breaking cycles and creating better examples. By nourishing our temples well, we empower our ability to step fully into our roles as spiritual healers during this chapter.
