She shares details on this immersive study abroad program that brings African American children to the Motherland to learn African tradition straight from the source. The Sankofa Program is a program sponsored by Priestess Haneera Abounu's non-profit Naziafah Spiritual Institute. Sankofa is a study abroad program where African American children can come to Cotonou Benin for the school year. The children will receive a formal education and learn history, culture, and arts at the Naziafah Temple in Benin.
