Inquiring minds — Naziafah means…?

Naziafah is a non-profit organization lead by Priestess Haneera Abounu. Our temple location is based in San Diego, California. Our active spiritual center houses specific Vodun divinities from Benin West Africa. The premier deity is the Divine Mother - Mami Wata.

It is the mission of Priestess Haneera Abounu to restore the family and African traditions. Therefore, NAZIAFAH Spiritual Institute was established in the US to preserve the traditions rooted in the cultural and spiritual systems of Benin and all of West Africa.

NAZIAFAH serves not only as a lever for exchange and intergenerational sharing but also as a bridge between Africa and its diaspora placing particular emphasis on the education and well-being of the youth in our community.
