What is the Ancestral Welcome Ceremony?

This ceremony begins on the shores of Ouidah Benin at the Door of No Return. Quidah is the birthplace of Vodoun but also the location where many of our ancestors unwillingly departed the shores of Africa never to return. At the Door of No Return and as we travel to our home temple in Allada, we perform rituals, give offerings, and purifications to bring those ancestors home and give them a proper welcome.
